Don’t let the amendment confuse you
Amendment 3 will be on your November ballot, and Missouri Republicans would like you to think the amendment is about “transgender surgery for minors.” It’s not. Republicans are lying to you.
The amendment is another attempt to establish another cruel abortion ban even after Missourians overturned the same ban two years ago. As far as transgender procedures for minors, any such surgery or procedure is already banned in the state after a 2023 law was signed by former Governor Parson and upheld by the Missouri Supreme Court just this year. Minors cannot access any transgender surgery in this state.
So why does Amendment 3 include that language? To trick you. To deceive you. We have already established the Constitutional right for a woman to decide care for her own body. Missourians already voted for it. This is just another way to undermine the will of the people. Missouri Republican lawmakers have shown time and time again that they don’t respect us.
Don’t let the recycled Amendment title confuse you — vote no on Amendment 3 and tell the politicians we won’t be tricked or hoodwinked. We won’t be lied to. It’s past time that they listen to the people.
